For admission in ITI courses, a student must be 8th to 12th pass. There are some ITI trades where the 8th pass has the minimum qualification. As well as some trades in which 10th pass and some 12th have minimum.

Candidates whose age is more than 14 years and below 40 years, they can apply.
Age relaxation for iti courses and iti admission:
- Ex-employee and war widow is exempted up to 45 years of age.
- If the person is suffering from a disability then he gets a 10-year Age relaxation.
- Widows or women who are separated from their husbands who are 45 years old also get relaxation.

There are two types of entry in iti admission. In some states, the merit list comes out on the basis of marks and some states take the first entrance examination and then the merit list comes out.

- General category – ₹ 250
- SC / ST / OBC Category – ₹ 150
Fees are exempted for physically challenged, visually impaired, war widows, children of martyred / disabled ex-servicemen, students referred by orphanages or juvenile correctional homes.

Iti Admission Entrance Exam Pattern
Iti admission entrance test for admission to ITI is usually done in August. Some states conduct exams twice a year: in April and August.
Iti Admission entrance exam will consist of 100 multiple choice questions that have to be completed in a period of 3 hours. Questioning from the following syllabus:

- Generals (current affairs) awareness

1. Iti fitter
Fitter trade is the most preferred trade of ITI. There are more vacancies in Fitter.
The training period of fitter trade is 2 years and includes information and training related to fitter mechanics.

2. Electrician
An electrician is the popular technical trade of the ITI course, millions of students are trained in this trade every year.

The training period of the Electrician Trade is 2 years. It gives data identified with electrical and preparing.

3. Electronic mechanic
